...make pickles? My mom and I spent the morning canning pickles, dill pickles to be exact. We used this recipe, my first attempt at the dill but second time around pickling. Next harvest: bread & butter (my favorite).
oh and mom - they all popped!

Our little attempt at a bit of food independence and good karma in the midst of suburban Rhode Island. Started in earnest in 2008. Bill is a wanna-be farmer; Sara loves to cook; the kids just pick bugs and eat peas all day long.

Very cool to see - we are jealous without a backyard here in the urban jungle of SF. I'm a big fan of the half-sours. Have fun with it!
